Here is tonight’s wine: It’s local – from Saint-Meard-de-Gurson. 2001 vintage, 13%. This wine is produced by the Barde family who have been making wine in the Bergerac area since 1610. This is tonight’s wine for tasting. Well, this is a moderate wine at best. Initial taste is fresh and fruity but the after taste reveals that it’s verging on rough.
