This is the main (only) restaurant in Villefranche de Lonchat which is about 3km from our house.

Thank you Paula for this photo. It’s a restaurant that is well worth visiting. If you are into French food then this is the place to go. Régine and Patric are the current proprietors and if you let them know that you are from chez Martin Malone they will probably give you a window seat. I recommend starting with a bottle of champagne and concluding with Bellisle Mondotte which they will, as recommended, open in time to make the most of it. A good apéritif is pineau blanc ou rouge. I missed out on the last visit to get the glory that is fresh cooked foie gras. You must try this. I know that people think that it’s cruel food but I’ve visited the supplier and the geese ran over to be fed! If you happen to be there with me I would be delighted to show you the reality in our village!
