Welcome back to the blog after a long break!

I’m posting this from the house during a short visit in late April. Good news! We have a new shower and toilets. All the fittings are much better, especially the shower and sink.

We’ve also got new windows in the bathroom, toilet and behind the sink in the kitchen. Very smart and modern but not out of keeping with the house.

The back drive is nearly finished and, as you can imagine, it’s transformed the rear area. Even in today’s very wet weather the front garden is looking better than ever. The lawn is the best it’s been and the flower beds are now properly established. Mick and Mary have done a great job on the hedges – cut back much further than before while retaining privacy. You can now look out from the kitchen to the fields leading down to the wood at the bottom of the hill.

We’ve also got a new wood panelled door between the lounge and the kitchen.

Altogether really good improvements which I’m sure everyone will enjoy.
